The Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is one of the most popular short treks in Nepal’s Annapurna region, renowned for its stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain range. Starting from Nayapul or Pokhara, the trail meanders through beautiful rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and charming Gurung and Magar villages. Day 01 :
Arrival in Kathmandu
  • Activity: Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1,350m / 4,429 ft) and transfer to hotel.
  • Details: Airport pickup and check-in for rest and trip preparation.
Day 02 :
Drive to Pokhara
  • Activity: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (830m / 2,723 ft), transfer to hotel.
  • Duration: 6-7 hours drive.
  • Details: Scenic road trip through Nepal’s countryside to Pokhara.
Day 03 :
Drive to Ulleri
  • Activity: Drive from Pokhara to Ulleri (2,055m / 6,150 ft).
  • Duration: 4 hours.
  • Details: Begin ascent into the Annapurna region, arriving at Ulleri village.
Day 04 :
Trek to Ghorepani
  • Activity: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,850m / 9,350 ft).
  • Details: Moderate trek through forests and villages, arriving at Ghorepani for overnight stay.
Day 05 :
Poon Hill Hike and Trek to Tadapani
  • Activity: Morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m / 10,531 ft), then trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m / 8,858 ft).
  • Duration: 7 hours.
  • Details: Early sunrise hike to Poon Hill for panoramic Himalayan views, followed by a trek to Tadapani.
Day 06 :
Trek to Ghandruk
  • Activity: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m / 6,364 ft).
  • Duration: 3 hours.
  • Details: Short trek to the Gurung village of Ghandruk, known for its cultural heritage.
Day 07 :
Drive to Pokhara
  • Activity: Drive from Ghandruk to Pokhara (830m / 2,723 ft).
  • Duration: 7 hours.
  • Details: Return to Pokhara, enjoying scenic views along the way.
Day 08 :
Drive to Kathmandu
  • Activity: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,300m / 4,265 ft), transfer to hotel.
  • Duration: 8 hours.
  • Details: Final drive back to Kathmandu, concluding the trek.
