Nomada Himalaya Treks And Expedition

Kali Gandaki River Kayaking

Overview
The Kali Gandaki River, named after the goddess Kali, is a sacred river that flows through the
world’s deepest gorge — nestled between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. It
offers an epic kayaking experience with continuous Class III–IV rapids, stunning waterfalls,
and remote camping sites. Ideal for intermediate to advanced kayakers, this is one of the best
multi-day river adventures in Nepal.

Highlights
● Kayaking between 8,000-meter Himalayan peaks
● Fun Class III–IV rapids — continuous but manageable
● Multi-day wilderness kayaking with riverside camping
● Sacred river with waterfalls, temples, and cultural villages

Kayaking Experience
Kali Gandaki offers a perfect balance of excitement and scenery. The rapids are bouncy and
technical but not overwhelming, making it ideal for confident intermediate kayakers or advanced
paddlers looking for a beautiful expedition.
You’ll paddle through deep gorges, float past traditional villages, and camp on sandy beaches
under the stars. Famous rapids include Refund, Landslide, and Morning Rapid.
This is usually done as a 3-day expedition with full gear, support crew, and meals provided.
